Matar pulao

 
Matar pulao
ingredients
  • Basmati rice - 2 cup

  • Green peas - 2 cup

  • Onions (chopped) - 2 large

  • Green chilli - 2-3

  • Ginger (grated) - 1 inch

  • Cinnamon stick - 1

  • Butter or ghee - 4 tbsp

  • Water - 4½  cup

  • salt to taste
 method

Heat butter in a large heavy-bottomed vessel. Add green chilles, ginger and cinnamon. Fry for a few seconds. Add onions and fry on  for few minutes till the onions are golden brown. Add the rice, green peas, water and salt. Mix well. Bring to boil on high heat. Reduce heat and cover for 10-15 minutes or till all water evaporates. Serve this indian food of matar pulao with dal and raita.
