ingredients:-
For the koftas
Onion (grated) - 2
Green chill (chopped) - 2
Cheakpeas flour - 4 tbsp
Baking soda - A pinch
Oil - For deep frying
salt to taste
For the gravy
Tomato (pureed) - 1
Onion (chopped) - 1
Ginger (grated) - 1 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Corriander powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder (haldi) - 1 tsp
Milk - 4-5 tsp
method:-
For the kofta:- Take the grated onion, add the cheakpeas flour, baking soda, green chilli and salt. Mix it well till soft and make a balls (egg-shaped) from it. Use oil or flour if the balls sticks to your hand. Fry the the mixture on a non-stick pan, till all sides are golden brown. Drain the kofta and keep aside.
For the Gravy:- Heat the oil in a pan and saute the onion till translucent. Add the tomato puree, ginger, turmeric powder, coriander powder and chilli powder and cook till the oil separates. Add the garam masala and salt. Then add milk and water in it. Add the kofta in the gravy 5 minutes before serving because koftas are very soft.
